📢 Open Call – Predoctoral Contract at the University of Vigo
The University of Vigo announces a 4-year predoctoral contract linked to the MICINN Knowledge Generation Project 2024 PID2024-155625NB-I00 “Genomic and transcriptomic determinants of adaptation in cancer evolution” (Principal Investigator: David Posada).
📚 Thesis Project Description
The thesis project will focus on studying the evolution of gene expression along cell lineages in colorectal cancer samples. The primary objective is to evaluate the adaptive value underlying changes in gene expression, with a particular focus on phenotypic plasticity, and to understand how these factors contribute to tumor progression dynamics. The study will utilize simultaneous DNA/RNA sequencing data from individual cells and single-cell RNA sequencing, based on 10X Genomics, for the characterization of the tumor microenvironment.
