Welcome to the Posada lab

Welcome to the Posada lab at the University of Vigo in Galicia, NW Spain. Our research focuses on understanding the evolutionary pathways that cancers follow within individual patients. By reconstructing tumor phylogenies from bulk and single‑cell genomic data, and linking these to clinical phenotypes, we seek to uncover the rules that govern tumor adaptation. Our long‑term mission is to develop evolution‑informed diagnostics and treatment strategies that delay or prevent resistance.

We study the evolutionary forces that shape cancer genomes, with the goal of identifying vulnerabilities that can be targeted to improve patient outcomes.
