Pilar Gallego has successfully defended her PhD thesis entitled “Genomic epidemiology of SARS-CoV-2 in Galicia“.
This thesis aimed to examine the predominant lineages, the origin, and dynamics of SARS-CoV-2 in Galicia, the origin of the introductions in Spain, and the use of consensus sequences and intra-host mutations to delimit transmission clusters and direct transmission events.
